Inside Ascend

May 2026

As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to take a moment to thank each of you for the dedication, focus, and compassion you bring to your work every day. Your commitment to supporting individuals, families, and communities is truly meaningful and does not go unnoticed.

This month, we are placing a continued emphasis on the care provided to children and adolescents, recognizing that effective youth mental health care is most successful when it is integrated, collaborative, and community‑based. Coordination with families/medical decision makers, pediatricians, schools, after‑school programs, and other community partners is essential to supporting stability, engagement, and positive outcomes for the youth we serve.

As part of our continued focus on integrating evidence‑based tools into our clinical practice, we will be launching a revision to the suicide risk screening and assessment policy this month. This update is intended to strengthen consistency, support clinical decision‑making, and reinforce our shared commitment to patient safety and high‑quality, informed care.

Thank you for your continued professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to integrated, person‑centered care. Your efforts—both in direct service delivery and through collaboration with community partners—directly support our mission and strengthen the impact of our work.
